The first building on this site, a church, dates back to the 12th century. Around 1200 this church became the chapel of a Benedictine nunnery, first known as the Priory of St James and later as Hinchingbrooke Priory. Due to the warm and quiet atmosphere of the Library, it is ideal for more intimate and relaxed meetings.
The Library offers an attractive alternative to the Assembly Room, seating up to 100 delegates, theatre style.
